The RE/MAX International Referral System

Our Referral System helps ease a move anywhere in the United States and Canada. We, as RE/MAX agents, can help you sell your home and purchase one in another city. The referral system will arrange for a professional agent to contact you at your request and furnish a packet of comprehensive information on your new destination, including maps, literature on homes, schools and recreational areas. Careful attention is paid to every detail, including travel reservations, accommodations, and pre-selection of your particular housing requirements. This service is provided at no cost or obligation to the relocation client.

RE/MAX Growth in 2005 Tops in Firm's History

GARDEN CITY, NY - 2005 marked another record year for global real estate franchisor, RE/MAX International and its New York State Master Franchisor, RE/MAX of New York, Inc.

For RE/MAX International the year ended with 114,417 sales associates in the network, representing a 13.9% growth for a net gain of 13,925. Franchise sales of 1,078 again topped the previous year's record of 1,032 and by year's end 6,149 franchised offices were operating - an increase of 13.8%.

RE/MAX had also expanded its reach to 10 new countries bringing the total number of foreign offices to 62.

Growth for RE/MAX in New York State was also significant. RE/MAX of New York opened 28 new franchise locations and added more than 365 professionals to its ranks. RE/MAX of New York, Inc. started 2005 with 1,432 agents and ended the year with 1,800. The addition of more than 365 professionals demonstrated growth of more than 20% during calendar 2005, company officials stated.

"Obviously, we are thrilled at seeing these final statistics for 2005," commented Margaret Kelly, RE/MAX chief executive officer. "These numbers are indicative of the dedication and hard work of many people throughout the RE/MAX system - from the independent region owners, regional directors, franchise marketing personnel, the independent broker/owners and certainly the thousands of sales associates. Perhaps the best gratification is in knowing that these people have individually selected the RE/ MAX business model as their vehicle for personal and career fulfillment."

Regions in the United States sold 515 franchises. RE/MAX of New York, opened offices in many parts of the state including Long Island, New York City, Syracuse, Albany, the Hudson Valley and Rochester. RE/MAX of New York, Inc. has a sales force of more than 1,800 agents and 120 offices throughout New York.
